Why page likes still count on Facebook
When people look up a business on Facebook, the page header shows how many people like and follow it. It is often the first trust check before visiting a shop, booking a table or sending a message. A local restaurant with 40 page likes looks closed; one with 2,000 looks like a place people know.
Page likes also matter for partnerships and advertising: many brands and agencies ask for the audience size of a page before working with it.
Choosing a pack
- 100 to 500: for a page that has just been created.
- 1,000: the most popular choice for local businesses and new brands.
- 2,500 to 25,000: for established pages and campaigns.
You can also add bonus likes on your latest post, in steps of 100, so recent content does not look ignored next to a growing page.
Speed and premium option
Choose Fast (about 1 day), Normal (about 3 days), Gradual (about 10 days) or a Custom pace. Gradual is recommended for 2,500 likes and more. The optional premium setting adds extra likes and prioritises French-speaking profiles, useful for pages aimed at France, Belgium or Switzerland.
Likes versus followers on Facebook
Facebook now displays both likes and followers on pages, and the two are not the same: someone can like a page without following it and the other way round. Page likes are the classic social proof figure. If you care more about the follower count shown on new-style pages and profiles, see Facebook followers.
