Since X started displaying views on all posts, readers compare that number with likes and replies to decide whether a post is worth their attention. A post with 200 views looks unseen; with 50,000 views it looks like part of the day's conversation. Brands and journalists also screenshot view counts when they report on a campaign or a viral post.
Views count every time a post is displayed, which is why the figure is usually much larger than likes.
Choosing a quantity
- 10,000 views: the default, suitable for most posts on small and mid-size accounts.
- 50,000 to 200,000: for threads, announcements and video posts you want to showcase.
- Up to 1,000,000: for large accounts and campaigns.
A healthy post usually shows likes worth around 1 to 3 percent of views. If yours has none, add X likes to keep the numbers coherent.

Before you order
Views work best on posts that hold attention: a thread with a strong first line, a short video, or an image that makes people stop scrolling. Check that the post is public and that replies are open, since some real readers will want to answer. If the post promotes something, put the link in the first reply rather than the main post, which many accounts find keeps reach steadier.
