The number under your name
Monthly listeners count the unique people who played at least one of your tracks over the last 28 days. Spotify displays it in large type at the top of your profile, above everything else. It moves with your activity: a release or a playlist placement can lift it, and a quiet month makes it fall back. That is why many artists watch it closely before a pitch or a show announcement.
Unlike play counts, monthly listeners measure reach rather than repetition. A track played 10,000 times by the same 300 people still shows 300 monthly listeners.
How the service works
Choose the number of listeners with the slider, from 1,000 to 100,000 in steps of 1,000. The team spreads plays across your profile so the figure rises over the following days. Because the metric is calculated over a rolling 28 days, it naturally decreases after that period unless new listening comes in. Plan the order around the moment you need the figure: a release, a pitch, a festival application.
Choosing a quantity
- 5,000 listeners: the default, a credible figure for an independent artist.
- 10,000 to 25,000: for artists pitching to booking agents or mid-size labels.
- 50,000 to 100,000: for projects backed by a real campaign.
Pair it with Spotify followers so the two figures look consistent.

Honest limits
This is a new service at Likes Quality. Monthly listeners are a rolling figure: they reflect the last 28 days, not a permanent total, so the effect fades after a month unless real listening grows. Spotify can also discount listening it considers artificial, and these listeners do not generate royalties. Use the service to strengthen a key moment, together with genuine promotion. For play counts on a track, see Spotify streams.
Before you order
Pick the date you need the figure for, then count back a few days to place the order. Make sure your artist profile is complete: a photo, a short biography and at least one recent release. A profile with 20,000 monthly listeners and no picture looks unfinished. Finally, keep releasing or promoting during the month so part of the new listening becomes your own audience.
