What are watch hours, and why do 4,000 matter?
Watch hours are the total time people spend watching your public long-form videos. To apply to the YouTube Partner Program, a channel needs 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 public watch hours in the last 12 months, or 1,000 subscribers and 10 million public Shorts views in 90 days. YouTube also offers a lower tier with fewer requirements in some countries, giving access to fan funding features but not ad revenue.
For many small channels, subscribers come before watch time. A channel can reach 1,000 subscribers and still sit at 900 hours because its videos are short or new.
How does the order work?
Use the slider to choose 500, 1,000, 1,500 and so on up to 4,000 hours. The team adds the watch time to one long video on your channel. For hours to be counted correctly, the video should be at least 15 minutes long, public, and not marked as made for kids. Longer videos are better: a one-hour video absorbs watch time more naturally than a 15-minute one.
Hours are added progressively, so expect the order to run over several days. You can follow the total in YouTube Studio under Analytics, then Watch time.
What is in the bonus pack?
Tick the bonus pack to add 10,000 views, 500 subscribers and 50 comments to the order for a fixed price. It helps channels that are short on both hours and subscribers, and it keeps the channel statistics coherent: thousands of watch hours with no new comments or subscribers would look unusual.
What do we need from you?
The link of the video that will receive the hours. Never your Google password, never access to YouTube Studio. If you are unsure which video to use, send us your channel link on WhatsApp and the team will recommend the best candidate.
How do you check your watch hours?
Before and after ordering, check your progress in YouTube Studio:
- Open YouTube Studio and go to Earn (Monetisation).
- The eligibility card shows your public watch hours over the last 12 months and your subscriber count.
- For details per video, open Analytics, then the Content tab and the watch time column.
Only public videos count: unlisted, private and deleted videos, and Shorts, are left out of the 4,000-hour total.
Honest limits about monetisation
Reaching 4,000 hours lets you apply; it does not guarantee acceptance. YouTube reviews every channel manually against its policies, including originality and reused content, and it can recalculate watch time after audits. Treat watch hours as a way to close the gap while you keep publishing.
